The problem
A social service nonprofit had built several data tools using Google app scripts to maintain their data tracking. The team wanted to learn more programming skills to expand their capabilities for their employer and their own professional development.
What we did
- Conducted skills assessment to identify what the data team needed to know
- Designed curriculum covering Python fundamentals, web scraping with BeautifulSoup and API integration
- Taught through hands-on workshops using real organizational data and actual scraping tasks
- Built documentation alongside training so staff had reference material for ongoing learning
- Mentored team through first solo scraping project to build confidence
